The Friesen Building opened in 1996, on (the very day) of the ten year anniversary of Friesen Gallery Sun Valley. The gallery was a privilege to design and I immensely enjoyed working there for the quarter-century that followed.

Sun Valley Contemporary Gallery now occupies the space. Having six galleries in Canada, this is their first gallery in the United States. SVCG has added three artists from my stable onto their roster of represented artists; Kristina Grace, David Hytone, and Leslie Stoner. All three of these artists are meaningful to me and I am thrilled their careers remain represented in Ketchum/Sun Valley.

I welcome Sun Valley Contemporary Gallery to the Wood River Valley and I look forward to SVCG enjoying a long run in this vibrant arts community.
